Boise, Idaho, September 24, 2015 – The Famous Idaho Potato Bowl today announced a partnership with St. Luke’s to create the FitOne Family Day, a new, family-oriented event that will take place the morning of this year’s Famous Idaho Potato Bowl. Hosted inside the Caven Williams Sports Complex next to Albertson’s Stadium, the FitOne Family Field day will cater to audiences of every age with a variety of “combine” type events, hosted lunch and souvenirs for all attendees. FitOne Family Field Day doors will open at 10:30 a.m., three hours before the 1:30 p.m. MST kick off of the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl on Tuesday, December 22.

The FitOne Family Field Day is being formally announced at the St. Luke’s FitOne Healthy Living Expo on September 24-25 at the Boise Centre. Tickets will be available via the attached link. The $24 FitOne Family Day ticket includes a ticket to the Bowl game, lunch, and awards for the participants, as well as a souvenir of the event for each attendee.

“St. Luke’s is proud to partner with the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl to establish the inaugural FitOne Family Field Day,” said Heather Hill, director of FitOne at St. Luke’s. “FitOne Family Field Day is focused on creating a family-oriented event promoting healthier communities through fun, active living. We are excited to engage with the fans and families, and create lasting memories through a fun and unique experience.”

Catering to kids of all ages, FitOne Family Field Day will offer a variety of events, ranging from a 20 and 40-yard dash and FitOne Hop Scotch to individual tests that include a football toss and vertical jump. To support the event and help create a collegiate experience, mascots from the two football teams, as well as from local businesses will also be on hand to meet the children and cheer the participants on as they compete.

The Famous Idaho Potato Bowl’s Executive Director, Kevin McDonald commented, “We are always exploring ways to create a more positive experience for our fans on game day. We believe that our partnership with St Luke’s and the FitOne organization is unique to the Idaho community and this year’s bowl contests. We are looking to deliver a great atmosphere and one that has families engaged in fun activities from the moment they walk through the doors of the FitOne Family Field day until they exit the stadium at the conclusion of the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl.”
